When the value of one's investments or assets decreases, one gets concerned and curiously waits for the value to be appreciated or increased. However, one is never serious about appreciating or complimenting others and takes this life changing positive emotion for granted.

When it comes to recognizing or complimenting someone's good qualities or someone's appearance or something good done by that person, many of us hold back and resist ourselves and fail to show appreciation. However, research shows that appreciating others makes them feel valued and drives them to do their best. It also helps with wellbeing and mental health. Appreciating others will also make you feel better about yourself. Telling someone that you appreciate them reinforces all of the good things about the other person and helps build respect between both the people involved in the relationship. Another research done by Forbes reveals that when one appreciates others their own mindset changes, mood improves, more trust is built in a relationship, effectiveness is improved and one inspires greatness in others.

Therefore, before its too late, start appreciating everyone around you for even the smallest things. Appreciate and compliment your family, colleagues and everyone else who you meet throughout the day and the society at large for all the good work they are doing, for their appearance, for their help, for being patient and for all their contribution in making this world a better place. When someone has done something new, motivate them by appreciating them rather than finding faults in the task they have done for the first time. Appreciate people on their achievements or when they look good or have dressed up very well rather than being envious of them.

Recently an article was published wherein it was proved that when film stars or sport personalities promote a product without using it personally, people start using such products. But when it comes to your family, friends or relatives who have done something new or are struggling to do something remarkable, we fail to show our appreciation or even support most of the times. During COVID-19 pandemic, everyone of us realized the importance of oxygen, which normally we easily get and therefore we take it for granted. This is the simplest thing that we all can appreciate and for which we can express gratitude to God. In fact, it is everyone's duty to appreciate everything that they have in their life by sincerely expressing gratitude to God daily.
So, don't let a day go without appreciating and complimenting as many people as possible and see not only theirs but also your life changing.
